I am a licensed Cosmetologist with over 30 years of experience.
I pride myself on providing quality hair care services for my clients. During the first wave of Covid-19 in 2020, my mother and her two sisters lost almost 50% of their hair. I was devastated both personally and professionally as I was also their hair care provider.
I felt helpless as I watched their hair come out dramatically. While caring for their hair, I looked for beautiful, natural wigs that would be suitable for their age and style. To my surprise, the choices were slim, there were not a lot of options on the market for them. I began to research, learn and study how to non-surgical solutions (cranial prosthesis).
This discovery has been life changing for my family and I know it will be life changing for so many other women, men, and children that I will serve.
I offer the option to either personally apply the prosthetic unit or virtually demonstrate to my client the proper way to apply, style, and care for their unit. I also offer cranial prosthetic spa services to my clients to clean, repair, and style their unit in order to prolong life span of the unit.
In addition, clients will also have the option to purchase products and tools that are necessary to maintain, style, and care for the unit.
What do you enjoy as a Cranial Prosthesis Specialist?
I enjoy solving a need for a market of people who desire to feel and look their best. Losing your hair can have a great affect on how a person feels and how they see themselves.
Medical wig prosthesis units can be the answer for many as it can be custom made to comfortably suit its wearer.
This in turn, will increase confidence and self esteem. Changing someone's life by being able to help someone regain their dignity and confidence by supplying medical units is such an amazing reward in and of itself.
How do you want to help your clients?
I want to help my clients by offering natural looking, customizable, cranial prosthesis units that they can confidently wear daily, monthly, yearly, or as often as they need or desire to.
My goal is to give them their confidence back and help them reclaim their dignity.
Do you also install medical grade wigs?
Yes, as a licensed Cosmetologist, I am able to install medical grade wigs.
However, much of my services are offered online with the option of one on one virtual calls, where I am able to listen to and answer their questions/concerns, as well as demonstrate with them the proper way to apply, style, wear, and care for their cranial prosthetic unit.
What do you love about the community you work and live in?
I love their transparency and vulnerability.
Because a topic such as hair loss can be very sensitive, it brings me great joy knowing that my clients are comfortable enough to share with me such sensitive and personal information.
