Clifton Al-Hakeem Bey: Cranial Prosthesis Specialist Owings Mills, Maryland

I've been in the hair industry as a licensed professional master barber for 27 yrs., and love what I do. I started my journey leaving New York to Maryland and after my visit decided to stay.

I also decided to pursue my passion as a master barber, so I found a barbershop not too far from I lived that was also a recommendation from someone I met. I worked there as an apprentice and 2 yrs. got my barber license then another year and half got my master license.

I was there for about 7 yrs. before relocating to a bigger shop with more opportunities. after a couple of years there I decided to have my own shop and kept for about 6 yrs. before going into business with my wife a the time who was a senior cosmetologist so at that time I had learned a lot in regard to women's hair (extensions, cancer patients, etc.)

It wasn't till years later I wanted to have my business cater more to a woman audience (stylists, clients) so I decided to sell hair weave, extensions in my shop then started a website called strictly 'bout hair the hair industry has a lot of competition so its slow right now.

I then decided to do something more in my career field, so I came across the term Cranial Prothesis Specialist and was like wow that was an opportunity to really broaden my scope and be able to help people in other parts of my career.

I came across a lot of different companies for certification courses and one in particular was Wig Medical. So, I had some business in Texas at the time and came across Wig Medical again and at the time the course was even more affordable, so I took the pre course and passed and that's when i decided to take the course.

Needless to say, I passed the course and am now a Certified Cranial Prothesis Specialist and ready and excited to service people in my area and abroad. Men, Women and Children who suffer from hair loss.

What do you enjoy as a Cranial Prosthesis Specialist?

the opportunity to help people in my community near and far who suffer from hair loss and to make them feel great about themselves. Since I've done this for yrs. as a barber
in any way I can to make them feel good or normal

What do you love about the community you work and live in?

I meet a lot of Great people from all walks of life and the area stays busy with people from the neighborhood as well as tourists.
I'm just ready and excited to start this new venture and to meet new people and service their needs as best as humanly possible.
