Jeannette Soria is a licensed professional cosmetologist, Certified Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician, and certified Cranial Prosthesis Specialist based in Schenectady, New York.
Through her practice Mamita Beauty Studio, Jeannette has built a practice that sits at the beautiful intersection of healthcare and beauty — serving individuals whose physical or mental disabilities, injuries, or health conditions have made it difficult to feel like themselves.
Her unique combination of medical and cosmetology training allows her to provide a level of care that is truly holistic, compassionate, and empowering.
What do you enjoy as a Cranial Prosthesis Specialist?
What Jeannette enjoys most is bringing dignity and confidence back to her clients through personalized hair solutions.
She finds deep fulfillment in serving individuals who, due to physical disability, mental disability, or injury, may feel limited in what they can do — and showing them that their limitations do not define how they get to feel about themselves.
For Jeannette, every appointment is an opportunity to remind a client that beauty is beyond barriers, and that through beauty, people can break free from limitation.
How do you want to help your clients?
Jeannette's goal is to help her clients regain confidence, dignity, self-esteem, and a sense of control through beauty, hair, makeup, and compassionate support.
She wants every person she serves to be able to look in the mirror every day and feel great about what they see — regardless of their physical or mental circumstances.
Through cranial prosthesis solutions, styling, makeup, fashion, and motivational support, she works to help clients find ways to feel confident in their daily lives and to understand that their beauty and capability go far beyond any barrier they may be facing. What do you love about the community you work and live in?
What Jeannette loves most about her Schenectady community is the resilience of the people in it.
She is moved by the individuals she serves — people who, despite physical or mental challenges, refuse to let those challenges keep them from feeling good about themselves. She loves that her community understands that the inability to do something they once could does not have to mean the loss of dignity or beauty.
That understanding is what Mamita Beauty Studio was built on — and it is the spirit that drives Jeannette's work every single day. For her, beauty goals are beyond barriers, and disability does not keep anyone from breaking them.
