Wasila Annan: Cranial Prosthesis Specialist Irvington, New Jersey

I am a skilled oncology nurse who specializes in caring for cancer patients. Throughout my career, I have offered compassionate care to those confronting cancer treatment obstacles.

As a side endeavor, I also sell high quality cosmetic wigs to help individuals feel comfortable and confident about themselves. Recognizing the emotional impact on individuals, I pursued certification in cranial prosthesis to extend positivity to my patients.

Hence, this unique combination of nursing and wig sale enabled me to include medical wigs in my inventory, simplifying the process for patients to access them.

What do you enjoy as a Cranial Prosthesis Specialist?

As a cranial prosthesis specialist, I find immense satisfaction in helping individuals regain their confidence and unleashing their beauty by providing personalized solutions such as medical wigs during their difficult journey.

How do you want to help your clients?

I aim to assist my clients by providing these high quality personalized wigs as a means to boost their mental, physical, and emotional well-being. By doing this, it tends to raise their confidence, feeling of normalcy and make them feel at ease and safe during their cancer, radiation treatment recovery period and for clients with alopecia.

Do you also install medical grade wigs?

Yes.

What do you love about the community you work and live in?

There is a lot to appreciate about the community I work and live in, and this includes the strong sense of unity amongst healthcare personnel, patients, and their loved ones.

Despite the reoccurring cancer diagnoses in certain patients, the resilience and compassion demonstrated by this community in the face of adversity also had a positive influence in me to seek a job as a cranial prosthesis specialist, which could continue to strengthen my community.

As an oncology nurse, I believe to have some understanding of the physical and emotional struggle that my patients face day in and out, and I deem with these personalized wigs, which would be designed to a patient’s specific needs, it could have a positive impact in their lives and lessen this struggle.
