As the owner of Holley Hair Haven, Kim brings nearly 30 years of cosmetology experience — holding active licenses in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania — along with advanced certifications as a Natural Hair Loctician and Tight Curl Specialist.

Her path to this work is deeply personal: at around age 10, her hair was damaged by an incorrectly applied relaxer.

Her father experienced androgenetic alopecia, and at 18, Kim began experiencing hair loss herself due to alopecia areata. Because she understands firsthand the emotional impact of hair loss, she felt called to help others navigating similar experiences.

What Kim enjoys most is the opportunity to support individuals experiencing hair loss during what can be a very vulnerable time in their lives.

She deeply values the chance to educate clients about available options and resources they may not have previously known existed. It is especially rewarding for her to help individuals regain a sense of confidence and normalcy — and to inform them about potential financial assistance or insurance coverage that can help reduce the burden that often accompanies hair loss solutions. Being able to guide someone toward both emotional and practical support makes this work incredibly meaningful to her.

What Kim loves most about her Wilkes-Barre community is its diversity.

Having grown up in a multicultural environment in New Jersey, she has always appreciated the richness that comes from people of many different backgrounds, nationalities, and life experiences — and she sees that same richness reflected in the community she now serves.

As a smaller city with a strong sense of community, Wilkes-Barre also offers close proximity to the tri-state area, the Poconos, and Philadelphia — giving Kim the ability to reach and serve individuals from many surrounding areas, which is something she considers deeply important to the work she does.
