Wig Medical certified

Kyla Cardoso Lamitie

Boston, Massachusetts

I took my first 1-on-1 wig customization course on February 12th, 2024.

I had postpartum anxiety and stress-related hair loss after my daughter, and I had been losing lots of hair. It affected me mentally, emotionally and most obviously physically.

I felt unlike myself, so I dedicated my time to mastering wig customization.

Through the midst of my own medical hair loss I was aligned and put in a space to be able to afford to quit my 9-5 job, with 2 children under the age of 2, not knowing how I am going to pay rent and go all in on helping women, men and children like me. I ended up making 100% glueless wigs in order to provide convenience, comfort, and style.

And I'm certified as a cranial prosthesis specialist.

What do you enjoy as a Cranial Prosthesis Specialist?

I enjoy the feeling of seeing clients immediate energy and demeanor shift to shut a positive light once they’ve been presented so the their wig with the style of their choice.

How do you want to help your clients?

I am going to help them regain confidence.

I always knew I wanted to help others. Working a government job previously that’s all I did was help those in need.

Medical-grade wigs are something I will do to elevate and really motivate patients to utilize their benefits for their own emotional and mental gain.

Do you also install medical-grade wigs?

I do install medical-grade wigs.

What do you love about the community you work and live in?

I love that it truly has a sense of community.

There is a large population of clients experiencing hair loss and have shown interest in the wigs I’d put on myself.

Now I’d like to provide the same opportunity for that feeling of excitement to those women, men, and children in my community.

I am multifaceted.

There is not just one word to describe what makes me shine. I am a mom, an everlasting student aiming to be even more knowledgeable on ways to grow as an individual in order to assist and serve others.
