Sasha Gunderson
Littleton, Colorado
I'm Sasha Gunderson, founder of Evergrace Hair in Littleton, Colorado, and a Cranial Prosthesis Specialist.
I've been behind the chair for more than twenty-two years, and I'm also a certified mesh and meshless hair integration specialist and an affiliate of Wigs for Kids.
What I do at Evergrace Hair
I provide personalized, non-surgical hair replacement for people experiencing hair loss, thinning, reduced density and changes in volume — whether that's from alopecia, medical treatment, hormonal changes, aging, stress, trichotillomania or something else entirely.
That includes cranial prostheses, mesh integration, meshless integration and customized hair systems. Which one suits you depends on how much of your own hair you still have and what you want your day-to-day life to look like, and working that out together is really the point of a consultation.
Mesh integration can be customized for people who are thinning but still have enough natural hair to integrate with. Meshless options tend to suit someone who wants something lightweight and discreet without a traditional mesh foundation. And a cranial prosthesis is the route for partial or extensive loss — a medical-grade unit built for coverage, comfort and a natural appearance, which is a different thing from a retail wig.
I fit and install, not just supply
I fit, customize and style your unit myself. My background in hairstyling, color, extensions and personalized hair design is what lets me blend a system into your existing hair, your face and your lifestyle rather than handing you something generic.
I'll also walk you through color, length, texture, density, styling and maintenance, so you leave understanding how to live with what you're wearing. That part gets skipped far too often, and it's usually the difference between a unit you love and one that sits in a box.
Why I love this work
What I enjoy most is giving people their confidence back and helping them feel beautiful again.
I'm relatively new to the hair replacement side after two decades in general hairstyling, and I'll say honestly that what's struck me most is how supportive everyone in this niche is. People share what they know here. That's not true of every corner of this industry, and it makes me better at the work.
Every person's experience of hair loss is different, so I take the time to listen, understand what you actually need, and explain your options privately without any pressure to decide on the spot.
About insurance and documentation
A cranial prosthesis is treated as a medical device rather than a cosmetic purchase, which is what makes insurance reimbursement possible in the first place.
Your physician — usually a dermatologist or an oncologist — writes the prescription, and the wording matters: it should say cranial prosthesis, not wig. Here's how insurance coverage for a cranial prosthesis works if you'd like to understand the process before we meet.
I won't promise you a reimbursement before your plan has been checked, because nobody honestly can. Coverage depends on your plan, your state, your diagnosis, your documentation and your supplier status, and Original Medicare doesn't cover cranial prostheses at present. Where it's appropriate, I'll also encourage you to speak with your medical provider before we begin.
If you're still working out what's behind your hair loss, there's a plain-English guide to the types of medical hair loss here on the site.
Referrals welcome
Evergrace Hair welcomes referrals from dermatologists, oncologists, primary care providers, trichologists, salons and other professionals looking for a knowledgeable resource for patients experiencing hair loss.
I value clear communication with your care team while protecting your privacy throughout.
A private studio, no pressure
Everything happens in a private studio setting, which means you can talk openly about what's going on and look at your options without anyone else in earshot and without being rushed toward a decision.
My goal isn't to sell you a hair system. It's to help you find something that feels secure, comfortable and discreet, and that suits your actual circumstances.
If you'd like to talk
You can find me on Instagram at @evergracehair_by_sasha or at evergracehairstudio.com. There's no obligation in a first conversation, and asking whether you might be covered costs you nothing.
If you'd like to check before reaching out, start with the free insurance coverage checker. And if Littleton is too far to travel, you can find a certified specialist closer to you in the Wig Medical directory.
