I worked in the hair industry for over 30 years. I worked in a beauty supply store for 3 years after high school. I have been doing braids since 1993 and sew-ins since 1994.

I attended but did not complete cosmetology school at Pivot Point Chicago when I discovered my daughter was disabled. I had a nail tech license and I took a Taliah Wajiid Natural Hair Workshop in 2000.

During this time I was a stay at home mom and baby sitter for my sister’s children and briefly worked at my daughter’s special needs school and on her bus for 3 years while she attended junior high. I have had an online cosmetic hair and lash extensions business since 2019.

I completed the I-tip and Tape-in certification course from DreamCatchers in 2023. As well as finishing up Fixe Beauty Classic and Volume Lash Extensions Courses and Lace Wig University Wig Making Certifications.

What do you enjoy as a Cranial Prosthesis Specialist?

I enjoy being apart of the process of helping people to get back to feeling good about themselves during their medical hair loss journey.

How do you want to help your clients?

I want them to be confident and strong and not have to worry about if their medical hair loss will deter them from enjoying their lives.

What do you love about the community you work and live in?

I live and work in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. I am close enough to the city to travel for appointments and events but far enough to have regular clients and create an extended support system for those that need it. I am constantly gaining skills, taking classes to ensure full, knowledgeable and satisfactory services.
